3. Purposes and Legal Basis of Processing

3.1 Bookings and Stay Management

Personal data are processed for the following purposes:

  • Booking management

  • Performance of the accommodation contract

  • Tax and accounting compliance

  • Mandatory communications to competent authorities (e.g., Police Headquarters via the “Alloggiati Web” portal)

Legal basis: performance of a contract and compliance with legal obligations.

3.2 Property Evaluation Request

Personal data are processed in order to:

  • Prepare a profitability estimate

  • Contact the data subject regarding the request

Legal basis: consent of the data subject.

3.3 Newsletter

Personal data are processed for:

  • Sending promotional communications

  • Providing updates and offers related to services

Legal basis: explicit and specific consent.

Newsletter subscription is optional and consent may be withdrawn at any time.

4. Methods of Processing

Personal data are processed using electronic and IT tools, adopting appropriate security measures to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data.

5. Data Retention

Personal data will be retained for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected, and specifically:

  • Booking-related data: 10 years (tax and accounting obligations)

  • Evaluation/contact request data: up to 12 months

  • Newsletter data: until consent is withdrawn

6. Disclosure of Data to Third Parties

Personal data may be disclosed to:

  • Tax and accounting consultants

  • Hosting service providers

  • Email marketing service providers

  • Payment service providers

  • Competent authorities where required by law

Personal data will not be publicly disclosed.

7. Video Surveillance

For the purpose of protecting individuals, property, and company assets, certain external or common areas of the properties are equipped with video surveillance systems, in compliance with applicable laws and the provisions of the Italian Data Protection Authority regarding video surveillance.

Areas subject to video surveillance are clearly indicated by appropriate signage.

Video surveillance is active exclusively in the following properties and areas:

  • Briogna by Maravigghia Palermo Casa Vacanze – Via del Celso, 28

       Video-monitored area: Cortile San Paolino (external area)

  • Maravigghia Palermo Rooms – Piazza S. Onofrio 21

       Video-monitored area: common area (hall)

  • I Quattru Vuci Rooms – Via G. Garibaldi 76

       Video-monitored area: common area (hall)

Images are processed exclusively for security purposes and are not subject to public disclosure.

Recordings are retained for a maximum period of 24 hours, unless further retention is required due to requests from Authorities or for the investigation of unlawful acts.

The legal basis for processing is the legitimate interest of the Data Controller in ensuring the safety of individuals and property.

8. Data Transfer Outside the EU

If third-party services with servers located outside the European Union are used, data transfers will take place in compliance with the safeguards provided for by the GDPR.

9. Data Subject Rights

Data subjects may exercise the rights provided for under Articles 15 et seq. of the GDPR, including:

  • Right of access

  • Right to rectification

  • Right to erasure

  • Right to restriction of processing

  • Right to object

  • Right to data portability
